Cities' Environmental Targets:

Following are the environmental targets presented by the KIN network members during the 5th KIN meeting.

Dhaka City: Targets to implement ward-based SWM in 20 wards by 2011.

Surabaya City: Targets to decrease waste generation to 80% by 2015.

Fukuoka City: Targets to reduce waste generation to 25% by 2010.

Kitakyushu City: Targets to reduce CO2 emissions to 740,00 tons by 2013.

Ooki Town: Targets to implement the Mottainai Declaration Achievement Goals for Ooki Town.

Minamata City: Targets to decrease the ratio of GHG gases to 32% by 2020.

Ube City: Targets to reduce waste generation per capita per day to 840 grams by 2021.

Yokohama City: Targets to reduce waste generation to 35% by 2010.

Sibu Municipal Council: Targets to decrease waste generation to 20-25% by 2015.

Kathmandu Metropolitan City: Targets to finalize the processes of PPP venture in waste management within 2 years (2010-2011).

Cebu City: Targets to decrease waste generation to 50% by 2013.

Bangkok Metropolitan Administration: Targets to increase the amount of waste utilization to 30% by 2011.

Nonthaburi Municipality: To revive and restor the Municipality's rivers by 2022.
